Didier Varlot is a French engineer, the president of a foundation a husband and the father of three daughters.
He has over 30 years of expertise in managing complex projects and rescuing troubled ones. He developed industrial solutions that rely on renewable energy to reduce energy consumption in specific industries and lower their carbon footprint. In Romania, he established a subsidiary for a large international industrial group and successfully negotiated union agreements in a challenging environment.
He has also advised major players in the oil, energy, and insurance industries on implementing disaster recovery and resilience plans. In addition, he has helped various small and medium-sized enterprises resolve startup issues.
He served the business community as the founder and first president of the French Chamber of Commerce in Romania and the Project Management Institute Romanian chapter. Currently, he is the founder of Fundatia Ananke, which promotes ethical sustainability.
He recently launched the Blue Marble project in June 2023, which aims to empower people to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and business practices.
